Audit and Accounts Senior / Assistant Manager

We are looking to add an ACA / ACCA Qualified Audit & Accounts Senior / Assistant Manager to our team.

The role will include the preparation and review of accounts and tax compliance work as well as leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a range of respected and varied clients. Audit work will comprise no more than 25% of your working hours.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Accounts

• Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders, charities and partnerships.
• Preparation of periodic management accounts
• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting services.
• Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Xero and Quickbooks to streamline clients processes and enhance efficiency

Audit

• Carrying out audit work in relation to clients – variety of industries including manufacturing and retail with turnovers between £10m and £35m
• Specialist audit assignments in relation to Charities
• Reporting to the audit manager / directors
• Supervising assistants on audit

• Personable and able to get on with the team and clients
• Highly motivated and keen to progress
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure

Job Type: Full-time Office Based + Client visits

Personal Tax Senior

We are looking to add a Personal Tax Senior to our team.

The role offers exposure to all areas of Personal Tax and Trust work, training and development and career progression within the firm.

The ideal candidate will be ATT Qualified or QBE and will have recent experience in all aspects of personal tax.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Personal Tax Senior your role will involve:

• Managing a Personal Tax client portfolio
• Supporting the management team with a variety of tax work for a large portfolio of clients
• Preparing Personal Tax Computations and Returns for Directors, Sole Traders and High Net Worth Individuals
• Assisting with Personal Tax Planning for clients to minimise Tax Liabilities
• Assisting with supporting clients in managing their Personal Tax affairs, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Conducting thorough reviews of financial documents to ensure the accuracy of Self-Assessment Returns
• Communicating with clients regularly to address queries and concerns over tax issues
• Corresponding with HMRC in relation to Enquiries
• Assisting with Trust work

Skills and Experience:

• Background experience within Accountancy Practice (c.2 years minimum)
• Strong desire to develop a career within Personal Tax and provide advice and support to clients
• Knowledge of IRIS software package would be desirable (or similar packages)
• Good communicator at all levels.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
